It’s not too late to sign your child up for a summer learning assessment. A private assessment, also known as a private educational evaluation, can reveal 3 important things:
- Your child’s learning strengths and weaknesses
- A need for specialized services or tutoring
- How to help your child reach their personal potential in school and life.

Why now?
Depending on where you are on the journey to finding help for your child, you might be asking, “How do I even know if my child needs to be assessed for learning difficulties?” That’s a good question and one that many parents will put off answering until their child’s struggles have put them significantly behind their peers due to long waits for assessments or scheduling difficulties.
If you have seen increasing concerns with your child’s ability to focus, understand new concepts, retain new information, take tests, or complete schoolwork, don’t wait to see if they will “grow out of it.” Their learning confidence will be one of the first victims to learning difficulties. Let’s start the process to getting them back on track today!

Why choose a private assessment?
-The results of the assessment are not just used to diagnose. While we might find evidence for a diagnosis like autism spectrum disorder, we would go over all of the results to gain a better understanding of your child’s learning strengths and weaknesses.
-You can take the results of the assessment to your child’s school to appeal for special educational services.
-Results do not automatically go on your student’s school records. You can choose to have them added.
-I will be able to recommend ways to get your child’s learning back on track. This could come in the form of altering learning/studying strategies or working with an educational therapist, counselor, or tutor.
-Thanks to my background as a school psychologist, I am well-versed in helping families get the help they need from their child’s school, including support services. Working with an IEP team can be overwhelming, but I can help you break down the jargon and advocate for your child.
