A learning disability should not determine your ceiling.

What is educational testing?
Educational testing uses several tests to analyze an individual’s achievement, intelligence, and processing ability. All of these factors together might add up to a learning disability.
By looking at the individual’s history, test results, and even how the individual completes the tests, Laurie Adachi and her team are able to provide insight into a person’s learning strengths and weaknesses and what (if any) learning disorders they are dealing with.
What is a licensed educational psychologist?

Should I have my child tested?
If you have concerns about your child’s educational or social development, please reach out. Early intervention can help them quickly get back on track to reaching their potential.
Signs that your child is struggling with a learning disability could include but are not limited to behavioral issues, struggling with seemingly simple tasks, a lack of interest in school, difficulty grasping new material, or not keeping up with their peers. Waiting to see if your child will grow out of “it” may lead to more problems. Don’t hesitate to seek help!
Should I be tested as an adult?
Many adults with undiagnosed learning disabilities find ways to work around their struggles without noticing their struggles are unique. There are many scenarios that may lead you to want to be tested.
Graduation
You had an IEP in high school and now you need to qualify for accommodations in college. You will need to complete a new educational assessment.
Higher Education
As a high school student, you were able to do well with the help of a tutor and teachers’ open hours. Now you’re floundering in college.
Overcoming Barriers
Does it feel like you are struggling in all aspects of life: relational, educational, financial, etc.? To overcome your challenges, you need to get to the root of the problem.
New Work Environment
If your work has shifted from remote to in-person or vice versa, you may be facing unexpected challenges. A learning disorder could be at the root.
